Former Georgia Bulldog expected to miss chunk of NFL season…

Former Georgia Bulldogs linebacker Nakobe Dean can’t shake the injury bug. The Philadelphia Eagles linebacker suffered a Lisfranc sprain on Sunday and is expected to go back on injured reserve, according to NFL insider Mike Garafolo.

The injury, suffered in the win over the Dallas Cowboys, isn’t to the same foot that landed Dean on injured reserve after Week 1.

It’s unclear when or if Dean will return this season. He will see a foot specialist before the team decides on a course of action. Lisfranc injuries are always tricky.

The 2022 third-round pick didn’t see the field much last season and has battled injuries throughout 2023. This season, Dean has 30 tackles and 0.5 sacks. While Dean’s talent is evident, his durability is a question mark.

Dean won the Butkus Award for the nation’s top linebacker in high school and in 2021 while playing for Georgia.
