LSU women’s basketball signs Jada Richard, top 2024 prospect in Louisiana

Jada Richard is a four-star prospect who ranks among the top 100 players nationally.

Acquiring talent has not been an issue for [autotag]Kim Mulkey[/autotag] since making the jump from Baylor to LSU, and she added another blue-chip player during the 2024 early signing period, which began Wednesday.

[autotag]Jada Richard[/autotag], a four-star prospect from Lafayette Christian Academy who ranks as the top player in the state of Louisiana, signed her national letter of intent with the Tigers on Wednesday.

Richard, who ranks No. 95 in the ESPNW Top 100, is currently the only commit LSU has in 2024, but with the early signing period open for another week, Mulkey has time to add more before the window closes on Nov. 15.

“Jada’s scoring ability from the perimeter and midrange is outstanding, but what’s equally impressive is her knack for creating opportunities for others,” Mulkey said in a release. “She’s a selfless player with a high basketball IQ. I have no doubt she will continue to excel and elevate the play of her teammates. I’m excited that Jada is staying home to be a Tiger!”

Players will have the opportunity to sign once again when the regular period opens on April 17 and runs until May 15.
