The Cincinnati Bengals are impossible to ignore — and that’s especially the case in the power rankings as the NFL calendar turns to Week 10.
Those Bengals have won four in a row with a healthy-looking Joe Burrow, impressively getting the best of would-be contenders San Francisco and Buffalo in back-to-back weeks.
That has the Bengals up four spots to No. 6 in the latest offering from USA Today’s Nate Davis:
6. Bengals (10): “(W)e’re back, and we’re here,” said WR Tee Higgins after Sunday night’s big win, Cincinnati’s fourth straight victory overall and sixth in a row at home in prime time (a team record). Unfortunately, no more (scheduled) home dates under the lights this season.
Only the Ravens, Eagles, Chiefs, 49ers and Jaguars are in front of the Bengals in these rankings.
Notably, those 49ers are two spots in front of the Bengals, but seemingly sit there because of the big trade deadline acquisition of Chase Young. The real concern for the Bengals is the No. 1 Ravens, a team they’ve already lost to and will see in roughly a week and a half for a Thursday night primetime game.
