The Cincinnati Bengals, who got off to a slow start losing three of their first four games while Joe Burrow dealt with a lingering calf injury, have heated up and now have won four straight, and Burrow is starting to make some history along the way.
According to OptaSTATS on Twitter, Burrow is the second quarterback in NFL history to complete at least 75 percent of his passes and throw for 10 or more touchdowns over a four-game span with a minimum of 150 attempts. The only other quarterback to do that is Hall of Famer Peyton Manning in his 2013 MVP season.
Burrow has looked much better now that he seems to be fully healed, and with him under center, the Bengals offense is having one of its best stretches in a very long time.
In the 24-18 win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night, he was 31 of 44 passing with 348 yards and two touchdowns.
Even as it performs so well, there still seems to be more in the tank for the Bengals offense after they left more possible points on the field in the game against the Bills. They are on a hot streak right now and the wins will just keep coming if Burrow continues to perform at an MVP level.
