Kirk Herbstreit on Clemson’s statement win over Notre Dame

Kirk Herbstreit had this to say about Clemson’s win over Notre Dame on Saturday.

Dabo Swinney and Clemson football have had a season that has brought a lot of heat and questions to the program, and the Tigers responded with a massive 31-23 win over No.15 Notre Dame

Following the win, ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit talked about Clemson’s big win during ABC’s broadcast of the Washington vs. USC game. The Clemson talk was primarily about Clemson’s star linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Jr., who won the Allstate Good Hands Play of the Week with his huge interception for six.

“Our good hands play is Trotter with a pick six,” Herbstreit said. “Clemson got backed into a corner, upset. Dabo was upset. They showed up with bad intentions. Georgia Tech coming up, in North Carolina and South Carolina. Well, they salvaged their season with that big win at home today.”

It was a nice win for Swinney and the Tigers, and hopefully, they can build momentum off the win.
