BREAKING: LSU QB Jayden Daniels in concussion protocol, won’t return vs. Alabama

Jayden Daniels has been placed in concussion protocol and will not return against Alabama.

With LSU trailing by 14 points in the fourth quarter against Alabama on Saturday night, things went from bad to worse.

Quarterback [autotag]Jayden Daniels[/autotag], who had been taking hard hits all night, got especially rocked on one particular hit that knocked him out of the game. He returned briefly but would later leave again.

Daniels has been ruled out for the remainder of the game as he is in concussion protocol. Backup [autotag]Garrett Nussmeier[/autotag] will finish things out.

Daniels was having a solid game against Alabama, completing 15 of 24 passes for 219 yards, two touchdowns and a pick. He also added 163 yards and a touchdown on the ground on 11 carries.

We will keep you posted on Daniels’ status moving forward.
