Washington is unbeaten, but is it actually the favorite in the Pac-12?

Many people think Oregon is actually the team to beat in the conference.

Washington — the team USC faces on Saturday — is the only unbeaten team in the Pac-12. Yet, another team in the conference is playing better football.

We asked our Pac-12 football panel: “Is Oregon the team most likely to win the Pac-12?”

Matt Zemek: Yes. The Ducks have been the most consistent team in the conference. If they earn a rematch with Washington in Las Vegas, the Huskies will not have home-field advantage. Oregon would be out for revenge. Chances are the Ducks will convert a few fourth downs. It’s all lining up for them.

Zachary Neel:  At this point, I think the Ducks should be the favorites based on recent form, and the back-to-back confusing games from Washington where they barely beat Arizona State and Stanford. There’s still a month to go, so I’m sure things will work themselves out, but at the moment I would favor the Ducks.

Matt Wadleigh: I  wouldn’t say that. Literally anything can happen, but I have Washington and Oregon 1A and 1B at the moment.
