This Saturday, LSU and Alabama will play for an SEC West championship, in all likelihood. An LSU win would result in a three-way tie for first in the SEC West between ‘Bama, Ole Miss and LSU but Ole Miss has a date with Georgia coming up that could knock them out of the race.
Last year, LSU knocked off the Crimson Tide in Baton Rouge on a gutsy two-point conversion play in overtime. That play secured the SEC West title and gave the Tigers a shot at Georgia in the SEC title game. That could be the case once again this year but the Tigers will have to get it done in Tuscaloosa. Nick Saban was asked what the keys to winning this game are at a recent press conference.
“Most important thing I think in this game is great practice habits technically, work on the things that you need to do to go execute,” Saban said, per On3. “You know you’re going to play against a good player, they have a lot of good players. Need to know exactly what to do, how to do it, why it’s important to do it that way so when it comes to the game you’re not really thinking about it, you can do it automatically.”
Kickoff is set for Saturday night at 6:45 p.m. CT in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
