With 1.2 seconds left in their Wednesday night game against the Phoenix Suns, the San Antonio Spurs took a one-point lead. Not only was the 115-114 score the final outcome of the game, but it also marked the first time San Antonio led for the entire contest. They overcame a 20-point deficit, beat the odds, and pulled off an incredible victory.
Keldon Johnson was at the center of the win. With Kevin Durant trapped in the corner, Johnson sprinted over, wrestled the ball away from him, and drove to the hoop. He made a tough bucket, putting the Spurs up by one point with what would end up being the game-winning basket.
After the game, Johnson explained his mindset in that moment.
