After an impressive debut in Week 8, Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Will Levis will take his act on the road when the Titans meet the Pittsburgh Steelers at Acrisure Stadium in Week 9.
Levis spoke to the media on Tuesday and reiterated that he didn’t take a lot of time to celebrate his first game, as the Titans had to quickly turn their attention to a Thursday night contest against the Steelers.
“It was crazy – I couldn’t really take any time to celebrate,” Levis said, per Jim Wyatt of the team’s official website. “Obviously, I took the moment and enjoyed it with my family, and the loved ones that I had there. But like coach said, our minds had to flip to Pittsburgh at 4 o’clock on Sunday with the quick turnaround.”
The Kentucky product admits that he’s had this game against the Steelers circled on his calendar for awhile now because he’s excited to experience the environment in Pittsburgh.
“Playing or not, I’ve had this game circled on the schedule because of how great the environment is going to be,” he said. “I know their fans are going to come out and it’s going to be a nice environment. So, we are ready to handle it. I am looking forward to taking it all in and then just doing my thing.”
Levis threw for 238 yards and four touchdowns in what was a historically good debut in Nashville in Week 8. He’ll look to keep the good times rolling in what will be a tough matchup against T.J. Watt and the Steelers’ defense.
