The Nashville Predators (4-4-0) take on the Vancouver Canucks (5-2-1) Tuesday at Rogers Arena. Puck drop is set for 10 p.m. ET (ESPN+/Hulu). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Predators vs. Canucks odds, and make our expert NHL picks and predictions.
The Preds are coming off a 3-2 overtime home win against the Toronto Maple Leafs Saturday. Before that, they suffered a 3-2 loss to Vancouver last Tuesday. Nashville had just 18 shots on goal in that game and went 0-for-3 on the power play.
The Canucks suffered a 4-3 overtime loss to the New York Rangers Saturday night. It was their 2nd night of a back-to-back in which they wiped the ice with the St. Louis Blues 5-0 Friday night. Vancouver is an up-and-coming team off to a great start and could make a push for the playoffs.

Predators at Canucks projected goalies
Juuse Saros (4-4-0, 2.49 GAA, .915 SV%, 1 SO) vs. Thatcher Demko (3-2-0, 1.91 GAA, .936 SV%, 1 SO)
Saros has played well but hasn’t received a lot of offense in front of him. He has allowed just 7 goals in his last 4 starts. He stopped 21 of 24 shots fired his way in the meeting against the Canucks last Tuesday.
Demko has faced just 40 shots in his last 2 starts, and he stopped 38 of them. He saved 16 of 18 shots against Nashville last Tuesday. He took an overtime loss to the Preds in his only matchup against them last season, stopping 27 of 30 shots.

Predators at Canucks picks and predictions
Prediction
Canucks 4, Predators 2
Moneyline
The Canucks are 4th in the NHL allowing just 2.4 goals per game. Meanwhile, the Predators are 22nd in scoring with just 2.9 goals per game, and they have the 30th-ranked penalty kill. Vancouver is for real as long as they can stay healthy.
Take the CANUCKS -135.
Puck line/Against the spread
The Canucks are 7-1 on the puck line this year and 3-0 at home. It may take an empty netter late, but I look for them to overpower Nashville at home. The fact that the last 4 meetings between the teams ended within a goal, and 3 were shootouts, gives a little pause.
But LEAN CANUCKS -1.5 (+180).
Over/Under
Nashville is 2-5-1 O/U, and Vancouver is 4-3-1. Outside of the meeting last week, the previous 4 matchups all had at least 6 goals in them. So this one could go either way.
PASS or take the ALTERNATE UNDER 6.5 (-150).
