Veteran Patrick Beverley takes shot at Raptors after Sixers road win

Philadelphia 76ers veteran Patrick Beverley takes a shot at the Toronto Raptors after a win on the road.

Before the Philadelphia 76ers paid a visit to the Toronto Raptors on Saturday, veteran guard Patrick Beverley ruffled feathers north of the border with his comments about Toronto’s stars.

On his podcast “The Pat Bev Pod,” Beverley took a shot at Raptors stars Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby, essentially saying they’re not tough enough. He said he wouldn’t feel threatened if he saw either of them down a dark alley.

After the Sixers rallied from a 12-point deficit to beat the Raptors, 114-107 on the road on Saturday, Beverley took to Twitter and doubled down on his claim about the Raptors as a team.

Siakam finished with 11 points on 3-for-8 shooting while Anunoby did not play due to a bilateral muscle cramp injury.

Beverley and the Sixers had a tough loss to the Milwaukee Bucks to open the season, but they played well. They then knocked off the scrappy Raptors. They now head into the home opener on Sunday against the Portland Trail Blazers.
