The Tennessee Titans parted ways with a franchise great this week when they traded safety Kevin Byard to the Philadelphia Eagles for a player and two 2024 NFL draft picks.
The Titans received safety Terrell Edmunds, who figures to help fill the void left by Byard’s departure, and the two picks fall in the fifth and sixths rounds of next year’s draft.
Trading a franchise legend like Byard is never easy, especially when the return wasn’t all that great.
But it was a move the Titans had to make with Byard unlikely to be back next year and with the team staring down the barrel of a rebuild at 2-4.
In the wake of the trade on Monday, the Titans released this tribute video for Byard, which looked back on some of his most memorable moments in the two-tone blue.

Hopefully the Titans can make the most of their return for Byard, which also includes extra cap space in 2024. Meanwhile, we hope that Byard can go get the ring that eluded him in Nashville.
