The Atlanta Falcons currently sit atop the NFC South thanks to the clutch kicking of Younghoe Koo. Sunday’s 16-13 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers featured Koo’s third game-winning field of the season.
On Wednesday, Koo was named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week by the NFL.

This season, Koo has converted 13 of his 14 field goal attempts and made eight of nine extra points. As the Falcons offense continues to struggle in the red zone, it helps to have a kicker that can knock down clutch kicks.
Koo also won Special Teams Player of the Month for his play in the final month of the 2023 season. While he may not have the strongest leg in the league, the 29-year-old has been among the most reliable kickers in the NFL since joining the team in 2019.
