UNC football head coach Mack Brown using last year’s loss to GT as motivation

Mack Brown will send a reminder to his UNC football team ahead of Saturday’s game at Georgia Tech.

North Carolina’s perfect season went down the drain last week with the stunning loss to Virginia at home. While it put a big damper on the Tar Heels’ magical season, they have to get it together for a tough road game in Atlanta this weekend.

And once again, North Carolina will enter the week as two-touchdown favorites against Georgia Tech. It comes almost a year after the Tar Heels were big favorites against the Yellow Jackets at home and lost that game, to begin a losing streak to end the season.

Now, going into this weekend Brown is going to send a reminder to his team by showing tape of Georgia Tech. He will not only show the Yellow Jackets’ upset over Miami from this year but also the upset over UNC last season as well.

“They’ll see the [tape of] Georgia Tech beating Miami,” Brown said. “We’ll go back and show them that. And they got to understand that they’ll see our game with Georgia Tech last year.

While you really never want to re-live bad memories, and last season’s loss was a bad one, maybe this can help motivate the team and avoid another upset this season.

Because if UNC does lose again to Georgia Tech, it would flush their ACC title chances down the drain for good.
