Five-star recruit schedules official visit to UNC basketball program

The UNC basketball program will host five-star forward Koa Peat in the month of November as he has officially set a visit date.

The UNC basketball program will soon be hosting a five-star recruit in the 2025 recruiting class.

On Tuesday, Inside Carolina’s Sherrell McMillan reported that the Tar Heels will host five-star forward Koa Peat on November 11th. The recruit will be on campus for the Tar Heels’ big football game against Duke that weekend and will also be there for the basketball program’s game against Lehigh the following day.

The 6-foot-8, 235-pound holds a total of 30 offers in his recruitment with programs like Michigan, Texas, Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, and Tennessee among others offering.

So far, Peat has taken two visits to schools as he was at Michigan on September 1 and then Texas on September 29th. He’s set to take more visits this year as well.

Peat is ranked No. 4 nationally, the No. 2 power forward and No. 1 player in the state of Arizona per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.

The Tar Heels have made Peat a priority, checking in with him as well as watching him play a few times over the past few months.
