Football season is in full swing, and we are past the quarter mark of the regular schedule. As we look forward to the rest of the games this week, I’d like to take some time to recognize a few top week seven performances from Aggies in the NFL.
Myles Garrett put on another DPOY-type game as he reached 80 sacks in the victory on Sunday. His athleticism was on full display early as he showed off his box jump skills when he leaped over the line and blocked a field goal. That block later turned into points by the offense, and he followed that up with a strip sack of Gardner Minshew in the endzone that was recovered for a touchdown. Here are his stats from Sunday’s win over the Indianapolis Colts.
- Nine tackles / 2 sacks / 2 forced fumbles / 1 blocked FG
Christian Kirk overcame an early fumble to create a strong game, showing why he is a trusted target. When Lawrence looked his way for completion, Kirk was a perfect six for six, but none was bigger than his 44-yard touchdown catch to put the Jaguars up late. Here are his stats from Sunday’s win over the New Orleans Saints.
- 6 catches / 90 yards / 15 avg / 1 touchdown
Mike Evan’s six catches were not enough to put the Tampa Bay Buccaneers over the Atlanta Falcons. Even with the Bucs struggling right now, Evans is showing no signs of slowing down while nearing halfway through his tenth NFL season. He is currently on pace for another 1,000-yard season with 60+ catches. Here are his stats from Sunday’s loss in Tampa.
- Six catches / 82 yards / 13.7 avg / 1 touchdown
Another great week for these former Aggies, and you can check out some of the best photos from week seven.
