Mattress Mack — Jim McIngvale, as you may know — has had some big wins and some huge losses betting on various Houston teams over the years.
This time? Per Vegas Insider reporter Patrick Everson, McIngvale had “at least” $7.9 million on the Astros to win it all again this year. The payout would have been nearly $51 million.
Alas. Didn’t happen this year. Imagine being able to put $8 million down and be able to stomach the loss. What a life.
But you know what comes next. He’ll be back to bet a huge amount of money on another event like the Super Bowl and we’ll be watching to see if he wins or loses:

The biggest chunk of that: $30 million from @CaesarsSports on a $3 million bet at +1000.
