Two Nebraska volleyball players won weekly awards from the Big Ten Conference. Junior opposite hitter Merritt Beason won conference player of the week, and freshman setter Bergen Reilly earned conference setter of the week.
Beason is the first Husker to win the Player of the Week honor three times in a season since Mikaela Foecke in 2018. Reilly is the first setter to win the league’s Setter of the Week award since Kelly Hunter in 2016.
Merritt Beason has a match-high 21 kills, seven digs with two blocks and an ace. Reilly had 11.00 assists per set and 2.88 digs per set on the week.
The Nebraska volleyball team has won at least one Big Ten weekly award in the past six weeks.
