The Washington Commanders are 3-4 after Sunday’s Week 7 loss to the New York Giants. It was Washington’s fourth loss in its last five games.
Another nightmare start doomed Washington. Without starting quarterback Daniel Jones and virtually their entire offensive line, the struggling Giants jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the second quarter and held on for a 14-7 lead.
Washington quarterback Sam Howell was sacked six times, with five coming in the first half. In eight first-half possessions, the Commanders punted seven times.
Defensively, the Giants racked up 256 total yards in the first half. While Washington’s defense shut down New York in the second half, the deficit proved too much to overcome on Sunday.
The snap counts are in for Washington. We review them here.
