Ja’Marr Chase and the Cincinnati Bengals got the best of the Seattle Seahawks in Week 6 and survived, moving to 3-3 at the bye week.
Part of the reason Seattle was right there on the road all game was breakout rookie Devon Witherspoon, the fifth overall pick this year, who has been on fire all season as a lockdown corner.
That continued in Week 6, where Chase had zero catches on two targets while covered by Witherspoon.
Still, Chase got the last laugh in the win, pacing the Bengals with six catches for 80 yards, then hitting the Seahawks on social media when the team’s account posted a picture of Witherspoon flexing over him on Instagram.
Chase’s message? Simple: “LOL HOLD THAT L”
Fair enough, with Chase’s stance on trash talk making football fun shining through again. Here’s to hoping they square off again soon.
