What are the Iowa Hawkeyes up to? Are they playing a bit of a game on the fanbase? Or is it nothing being looked too deeply into?
Some social media rumblings have begun that the Hawkeyes may have something up their sleeve for this weekend’s matchup against the Minnesota Golden Gophers. That something is focused on another alternate uniform set to potentially be donned by the Hawkeyes.
Iowa has broken its traditional mold twice this year by wearing black pants on the road against Penn State with their standard white tops. They also wore all-black uniforms against Michigan State.
This matchup is going to be Iowa’s traditional striping game where alternating sections where black and yellow to create one of the best scenes in college football. Could the Hawkeyes add another layer of electricity to this matchup with some uniforms they are teasing?

Iowa’s official Twitter account posted a picture that teases a yellow face mask piercing through the lettering. Is that a hint at something more or simply a yellow facemask from Minnesota’s perspective? Here is a look at the conspiracy theories gaining some steam on social media.
