There were two major matchups going on in Week 7 that involved the Pac-12’s elite teams. The premiere game pit the Oregon Ducks against the Washington Huskies in a rematch from last year’s close showdown. The other matchup saw the USC Trojans get burned against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Once again it came down to the wire in the Oregon-Washington game, which left us wanting more. Perhaps if the cards are played right, we could see a rematch of these two teams. Due to the performance of the Huskies, they jumped five spots in this week’s power rankings.
The Trojans stumbled out of the top 10 closer to the back end of our top 25. However, no team suffered a bigger drop than the Louisville Cardinals, who fell to Pitt on Saturday. It was the first loss of the Jeff Brohm era at Louisville.
Check out who made the cut in College Sports Wire’s post-Week 7 power rankings.
