The Colorado Buffaloes enter their bye week in a difficult place. On Friday, they lost to Stanford in double-overtime despite holding a 29-0 halftime lead, and their chances of making a bowl game took a massive hit.
After the loss, Deion Sanders gave a long message to his team (h/t Well Off Media):
“All the love we’ve received, oh you’re getting ready to see that flip,” Sanders told his players. “And don’t get beside yourself on social media and start responding to the foolishness because they’re right. They’re right.”
Coach Prime was unhappy with the Buffs’ performance in their win over Arizona State. Now the Buffs have lost to Stanford, giving the Cardinal their first Pac-12 win of the season.
The Buffs enter the bye week with a 4-3 record but a 1-3 mark in the past four games. They face UCLA, Oregon State, Arizona, Washington State and Utah to finish the season.
After all of the hype, the narrative around the Buffs might change drastically following the ugly loss.
“All the love we’ve received, oh you’re getting ready to see that flip. And don’t get beside yourself on social media and start responding to the foolishness because they’re right.”
