Al Horford on Boston’s players being open to coming off the bench in 2023-24

There seems to be a consensus among players that sacrifice will get them the chip.

With questions about depth looming for the Boston Celtics after the acquisition of two star players, Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla is not especially concerned about the team’s starting lineups heading into the 2023-24 NBA season, acknowledging that they will have several different rotations this season.

“I thought that was a huge strength of ours (last year) — our ability to plug guys in and I think I said it before where we won ten games last year because of second, third, whatever unit we had, our non-original starters were able to step in and keep the intensity and the execution where it was,” added the Boston coach.

CLNS Media reporter Bobby Manning reports live following the Celtics practice at Auerbach Center that kicked off the weekend.
