Saturday’s matchup between Wisconsin and Iowa was a quintessentially hilarious Big Ten West game, delivering a sometimes backward-moving and (largely) offenseless masterpiece.
No one expected these teams to trade touchdowns or anything. Come on. The over-under was set at 33.5, so clearly Vegas knows what these two squads are capable of on offense. And sometimes, that’s not much.
While neither team accumulated that many yards in the low-scoring game, the Hawkeyes really didn’t gain a whole lot, despite winning, 15-6. They finished multiple drives against the Badgers with negative yards, and the two teams combined for 569 total yards. Wisconsin actually out-gained Iowa by 95 yards.
And the people behind the scenes at Fox Sports noticed what Iowa wasn’t doing on offense and absolutely roasted the Hawkeyes with this brutally honest graphic highlighting that, at one point, they gained all of three yards on six consecutive drives.

College football fans are well aware of offensive coordinator Brian Ferentz and Iowa’s struggles — including Ferentz’s contract mandating the Hawkeyes average 25 points per game — but that graphic is hilariously cold-blooded.
