Injury Report: Jonathan Kuminga (thumb) will play vs. Lakers in preseason on Friday

After initially being listed as questionable for Friday’s preseason contest due to a thumb injury, Jonathan Kuminga is set to play against the Lakers.

Heading into Friday’s preseason contest in Hollywood, Jonathan Kuminga was listed as questionable due to a thumb injury. However, No. 00 looks set to suit up on Friday night against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Before the game, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reported that Kuminga is playing on Friday night after banging his thumb on the backboard in the preseason opener last Saturday.

Despite injuring his thumb, Kuminga lead the team in scoring with 24 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the field to go along with eight rebounds, four assists and two blocks in 24 minutes off the bench against the Lakers in the preseason opener.

Kuminga will have the chance to pick up where he left off on Friday night in Los Angeles. The Warriors are set to tip off against the Lakers at 7 p.m. PT.
