CAMDEN, N.J.–James Harden and the Philadelphia 76ers are continuing to work through the future Hall of Famer’s trade request. The Beard requested his trade back in June when he opted into his deal for the 2023-24 season to help facilitate a deal to the Los Angeles Clippers.
That then began a tumultuous summer which led to him calling out President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey and then him not joining the team for media day or the first day of training camp out at Colorado State University.
However, he did show up on the second day of camp and he has been a true professional with the team. He has not caused any issues as he waits for a deal to be made. He opened up at practice on Friday to discuss his current situation:
