While the Philadelphia 76ers are still preparing for the 2023-24 season, they showed support for the local baseball team: the Philadelphia Phillies.
The Phillies are once again in the middle of a deep playoff run. After falling just short in the 2022 World Series, the Phils took another step toward getting back to the Fall Classic after eliminating the Atlanta Braves 3-1 on Thursday in Game 4 at home.
Philadelphia received two solo home runs from Nick Castellanos while Trea Turner also crushed a solo homer. A big defensive play in this one was when rookie Johan Rojas made a tough catch on a fly ball from Braves slugger Ronald Acuna Jr. to end a bases loaded threat for Atlanta.
In attendance of the win were Sixers stars Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey as they showed their support for the Phillies in the win.
