In a preseason matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers on this past Wednesday, the Boston Celtics showcased the skill of their role players in their 112-101 win, particularly that of recently extended reserve guard Payton Pritchard and sharpshooting forwards Sam Hauser and Svi Mykhailiuk, but also two way big man Neemias Queta.
The preseason tilt was a glimpse of the Celtics’ unexpected depth off the bench and the potential impact of their role players. A number of Boston players like backup forward Lamar Stevens, reserve wing Dalano Banton, and second unit forward Oshae Brissett have had strong showings off the bench in other preseason contests so far.
This game served as a prelude to what fans can expect from these players as they aim to secure more significant roles in the upcoming season.
