LSU will begin its title defense season with a prime time matchup on national television.

LSU’s women’s basketball team is looking to defend its first national title in 2023-24, and coach Kim Mulkey’s team will kick off the season in prime time on national television.

On Tuesday, it was announced that LSU’s season-opener against Colorado in Las Vegas will air on TNT at 6:30 p.m. CT on Nov. 6 at T-Mobile Arena.

LSU returns stars [autotag]Angel Reese[/autotag] and [autotag]Flau’Jae Johnson[/autotag], and it added a pair of All-American transfers in [autotag]Hailey Van Lith[/autotag] and [autotag]Aneesah Morrow[/autotag] to what will likely be the preseason No. 1 team in the nation.

Colorado is coming off a 25-9 season in which it reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament before losing to LSU’s ultimate championship opponent in Iowa.

There’s a lot of excitement surrounding what could be a budding women’s basketball dynasty in Baton Rouge, and LSU will begin its third season under Mulkey in style.
