Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor will officially make his 2023 season debut in Week 5 against the Tennessee Titans.
On Saturday, the Colts activated Taylor from the physically unable to perform list, and subsequently removed him from the injury report, where he was listed as questionable.
It has been a rocky offseason for the Wisconsin product, who had a very public spat with the organization over a contract extension. It seemed as though Taylor wouldn’t play another snap for the Colts, but here we are.
Taylor faces a stiff test right off the bat, as the Titans sport the No. 4 run defense in the NFL. Tennessee has sported an elite unit in each of the past two seasons, also.
However, that same unit will be without one of its best against the run, as nose tackle Teair Tart (toe) has been ruled out.
Over five career games against the Titans, Taylor has averaged just 49.2 yards per game.
