Bucs QB Baker Mayfield to serve as guest picker on ESPN’s College Gameday

The Red River Rivalry is back, so it only makes sense for former Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield to be ESPN’s guest picker this week.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are on a bye week in Week 5, so players are free to take a break and make plans for the weekend — and Bucs QB [autotag]Baker Mayfield[/autotag] certainly has his.

ESPN’s College Gameday announced on Twitter that Mayfield will serve as the guest picker on the show for its Week 6 iteration of college football. The pick is a fitting one, as the crew will be in Dallas for the Red River Rivalry game between the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners. Mayfield played most of his college career with the Oklahoma Sooners and won the Heisman Trophy with the team in 2017.

Mayfield went 2-1 against the Longhorns during his career. Across his experiences playing in the Red River Rivalry, he threw for 903 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions.
