The Boston Celtics made a major trade, sending fan-favorite big man Robert Williams III and the NBA’s 2023 Sixth Man of the Year Malcolm Brogdon along with two first round picks to trade for All-Star floor general Jrue Holiday on Sunday afternoon.
While Holiday has barely finished his physicals and paperwork, the Celtics were quite eager to welcome him to the team on Media Day, but several players still had words for the loss of Timelord. The trade marks a major change for the Celtics, who have also seen the departure of other key players like point guard Marcus Smart in recent months. Even so, the team is excited about the addition of Holiday and is focused on finding its identity and chemistry with the new roster.
The hosts of the CLNS Media “Garden Report” podcast Bobby Manning and Josue Pavon took some time to reflect on how the team’s players took the loss of Timelord and more.
