Vikings vs. Chiefs initial injury report

The initial injury report for Sunday’s game doesn’t leave a lot of cause for concern

The initial injury report is out for the matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday afternoon. It contains multiple players, but everyone who was injured practiced in a limited capacity on Wednesday.

  • Veterans rest: ILB Jordan Hicks, S Harrison Smith, RT Brian O’Neill
  • Limited: ILB Brian Asamoah (toe), C Garrett Bradbury (back), S Lewis Cine (hamstring), OLB Marcus Davenport (ankle), S Josh Metellus (shoulder), QB Nick Mullens (back)

None of these should be alarming right now. Cine missed last week’s game against the Carolina Panthers with his hamstring injury but being back at practice is a good sign.

Bradbury continuing to practice is a great sign for the Vikings, who hope to have him back this Sunday.

The Chiefs have quite a few players on the injury report, including Chris Jones (groin) who practiced in full. The biggest issue for the Chiefs is ILB Nick Bolton (ankle) who missed Sunday night’s game against the New York Jets.

We will learn more about each player’s status throughout the week.
