Football season is in full swing, and we are a quarter of the way through the regular season. As we look forward to the rest of the games this week, I’d like to take some time to recognize a few top week-four performances from Aggies in the NFL.
For the second consecutive week, Miami running back De’Von Achane is making a case to be in the running for Rookie of the Year with 120 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns. This also marks the second game where he averaged over 10 yards a carry. Here are his stats from the 48-20 loss against the Buffalo Bills.
- 8 carries / 101 yards / 12.6 avg / 2 touchdowns
- 3 catches / 19 yards / 6.3 avg
At one time, critics had a lot to say about the contract the Jacksonville Jaguars gave Christian Kirk a few years ago, but the front office saw something and it’s paying off. While Kirk did not reach the endzone this week he did lead that team in catches and yards. Here are his stats from Sunday’s victory in London.
- 8 catches / 84 yards / 10.5 avg
We’ll round it out with a pair of defensive lineman Myles Garrett & Justin Madubuike whose teams played each other on Sunday. The Ravens ended up on top, but these two shared almost identical stat lines.
Garrett
- 2 tackles / 1 sacks / 1 tackle for loss / 3 QB hits
Madubuike
- 2 tackles / 1 sacks / 1 tackle for loss / 2 QB hits
Another great week for these former Aggies and you can check out some of the best photos from week four.
