Commanders vs. Bears: Tuesday injury report for Week 5

Some good injury news on the short week.

The Washington Commanders were back on the practice field Tuesday after a walkthrough on Monday in preparation for Thursday Night Football against the Chicago Bears.

Despite playing a physical, exhausting game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, everyone practiced for the Commanders. Wide receivers Jahan Dotson and Curtis Samuel were limited. Running back Chris Rodriguez Jr., who missed all of last week, including the game, with an illness, was also back on a limited basis.

Cornerback Christian Holmes was also limited.

Dotson and Samuel are dealing with ankle and quad injuries, respectively. Dotson departed Sunday’s game but later returned to catch the game-tying touchdown that sent the game to overtime.

Defensive backs Quan Martin (thumb) and Benjamin St-Juste (neck) were full participants.

The Bears had three players miss practice, one of whom was wide receiver Chase Claypool, who is already ruled out. The Bears are keeping Claypool away from the team for non-injury reasons.

Safety Eddie Jackson (foot) and cornerback Jaylon Johnson (hamstring) also missed practice. Jackson has missed the last two games and hopes to play Thursday.
