Another Baldur’s Gate 3 patch is here, and this one restores a fan-favorite character’s nudity and gives Raphael another dye job. It also fixes some pretty important bugs on PC and PS5, including one that removed text descriptions for reactions in battle and another that negatively affected save games.

The character in question is His Majesty, a regal cat who prowls the corridors of Last Light Inn in Act 2, when he isn’t sleeping in a cozy nook, which is most of the time. He has some cheeky things to say about his fellow Inn-mates, if you use a Potion of Animal Speaking or cast the spell of the same name, and if you play as a character with a noble background, you can even become inspired by speaking with him.

His Majesty started life as a Sphynx, a hairless cat, but a recent BG3 hotfix gave him fur. It wasn’t just a hairy accident. Larian wanted to differentiate him from Steelclaw – a mildly deranged resident of Moonlight Towers who looks exactly like His Majesty – but fans were not pleased. Posts like this one started showing up on Reddit, and Larian complied with the demand and restored His Majesty’s nakedness in the latest patch.

LARIAN! Why is His Majesty not a Sphinx anymore? Explain!

Steelclaw now has a different eye color, and Larian gave Raphael his brown hair back and restored his portraits to their original state. If you visit the House of Hope – and you should, for one of the steamier, sillier BG3 romance scenes – you’ll see no traces of black hair anymore.

Other key fixes in the patch notes include crashes that occurred in multiplayer mode, instances where reaction text didn’t show up, and problems where the game created invalid save files. You should also be able to claim your Twitch drops on PS5 now.
