As feared, it was a worst case scenario situation for New England Patriots star linebacker Matthew Judon, following the biceps injury he suffered in the team’s Week 4 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
Per the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the four-time Pro Bowler will undergo surgery on Wednesday, and then there will be a better idea of whether or not he can return this season. However, he is expected to be sidelined for two months at minimum.
It’s a tough break for a Patriots team that also lost rookie cornerback Christian Gonzalez, who just earned a nod for Rookie Defensive Player of the Month.
#Patriots DE Matthew Judon is expected to miss at least two months because of his biceps injury, per source.
Judon will have surgery Wednesday and they'll know more afterward about whether he can return this season.

Judon’s absence shines an even bigger spotlight on Josh Uche, who is playing in a contract year. This will be his opportunity to shine as the premier pass-rusher on the roster, which is a title Judon bestowed upon him last season.
Now, it’s falls on Uche to go out and prove it to the rest of the world.
