CAMDEN, N.J. — The Philadelphia 76ers are stuck in a tough situation as they prepare for the 2023-24 season. They have to handle a delicate situation with James Harden but remain contenders in the midst of possible distractions.
Harden is one-half of a star duo in the city of Philadelphia opposite the reigning MVP in Joel Embiid. Harden and Embiid were almost unstoppable on the floor. Harden led the league in assists while Embiid led the league in scoring.
The Beard decided to not attend media day on Monday, putting his status for training camp and the season in doubt. His absence shifts the attention to Embiid. While the big fella is nowhere near the point of requesting a trade out of Philly, everybody has a breaking point.
