Michael Irvin praises Omarion Miller after huge day

Following his breakout performance, Omarion Miller had a special moment with Michael Irvin

With Travis Hunter sidelined, somebody was going to have to step up on both sides of the ball against the USC Trojans. On offense, it was freshman wide receiver Omarion Miller.

He exploded with seven catches for a game-high 196 yards and a fourth-quarter touchdown that moved the Buffs to within 14 points of USC.

After the game, NFL Hall of Famer Michael Irvin sang the praises of Miller, complimenting him on his huge performance, which happened to come with plenty of eyeballs watching this one in person and on television.

“This boy here is a bad dude,” Irvin said to Miller. “That out-route, I grabbed him, I said, ‘Man, that was an NFL out-route.’ The patience on it, man, you made a play. Way to keep playing, man. Big-time players make big-time play in big moments.”

Jimmy Horn Jr. and Xavier Weaver have been the talk of the WRs room, along with the injured Travis Hunter, but Saturday was all about the explosiveness of Miller, who surely will be a bigger part of the offense going forward.

Horn finished with seven catches for 84 yards and a pair of scores and tight end Michael Harrison had six catches for 44 yards and a touchdown, but this game was all about Miller. Know the name.
