Jonathan Mingo inactive vs. Vikings in Week 4

The Panthers have RB Miles Sanders and LB Frankie Luvu available for today. They will, however, be without WR Jonathan Mingo and S Xavier Woods.

Bryce Young will be down a weapon in his return to the field this afternoon.

The Carolina Panthers announced that rookie wide receiver Jonathan Mingo is inactive for their Week 4 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. The second-round pick, who practiced all week in a limited capacity, was listed as questionable on the final injury report with a concussion.

Mingo has totaled 64 yards on eight receptions through three games.

Safety Xavier Woods, unsurprisingly, has also been sidelined. Woods sustained a hamstring injury in last week’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks and is expected to miss an extended period of time. Sam Franklin will start in his place.

Carolina will, however, have running back Miles Sanders (groin) and linebacker Frankie Luvu (hip) in uniform. Rookie outside linebacker DJ Johnson, who was not active the past two weeks, is also dressing.

Here is the full list of inactives for the Panthers:

  • RB Raheem Blackshear
  • LB Deion Jones
  • WR Jonathan Mingo
  • OT David Sharpe
  • CB Sam Webb
  • S Xavier Woods

And here’s who is out for the Vikings:

  • C Garrett Bradbury
  • S Lewis Cine
  • QB Jaren Hall
  • TE Nick Muse
  • DL Khyiris Tonga
