Former Wisconsin Badger T.J. Watt is off to a stellar start to the 2023 NFL season. Through three weeks, the Pittsburgh Steeler has recorded 11 total tackles, six sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and two passes defended.

His mark of six sacks leads the NFL. The closest competitors are the Vikings’ Danielle Hunter with five, the Browns’ Myles Garrett with 4.5 and several players with four.

Here’s some context to Watt’s dominance thus far: his total of six sacks is more than that of nine NFL teams individually, or 28% of the league. He sits ahead of the Falcons, Bears, Broncos, Texans, Jaguars, Rams, Raiders, Giants and Seahawks.

The three-time First Team All-Pro member and five-time Pro Bowler is well on his way to another season as the NFL’s best pass-rusher.
