Dak Prescott notes Ezekiel Elliott is in high spirits with Patriots

Dak Prescott can tell Ezekiel Elliott is happy to be in New England

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott spoke to former teammate Ezekiel Elliott on the phone Thursday evening, which was the first time the two have spoken extensively in quite a while.

“Probably the first time we’ve talked on the phone for that long in a while,” said Prescott. “His spirits are great. He’s excited. It’ll be good to see him. … I’m happy for him. Always pulling for him. He’s doing well. I’m excited for him.”

Elliott has found a role for the Patriots in the early going. He has tallied 122 rushing yards as a complementary back to Rhamondre Stevenson. He hasn’t put up the flashiest members, but he’s been able to make a big contribution right out of the gates.

Elliott being in good spirits bodes well for his time in New England.

The Cowboys relied heavily on him as their featured back for years. Even though he’s fitting into a smaller role in New England, his importance to the team is as great as it’s ever been.
