Clemson recorded its first ACC win of the season on Saturday when the Tigers defeated Syracuse 31-14 at the JMA Wireless Dome.
The Tigers got out to an early 14-0 lead in the first quarter, and while Syracuse kept it competitive late in the game, Clemson ultimately came away with the 17-point victory.
Sophomore quarterback Cade Klubnik had one of his best games as a Tiger, completing 23 of 37 passes for 263 yards and two touchdowns. Klubnik’s favorite target on the day was true freshman wide receiver Tyler Brown, who finished with a career-high eight receptions for 151 yards.
As for the Tigers’ defense, it forced three turnovers on the day and held Syracuse to 286 total yards.
