The new NBA season is almost here. Teams around the league are finalizing preparations as they gear up for the start of training camp. The Golden State Warriors roster will begin the pursuit of another championship on Oct. 2. The first preseason game is scheduled to take place on Oct. 7 against the Los Angeles Lakers.
On Sept. 29, the Warriors released their full training camp roster via their PR social media channel. The list of training camp attendees includes the primary rotation of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Chris Paul, Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins, along with key rotation players Jonathan Kuminga and Dario Saric. Golden State will enter the new season with championship expectations and hopes for a strong start to training camp.
With so many new faces, Steve Kerr will have an opportunity to devise new rotations, schemes and lineups. However, Kerr will also need to make a decision on what role Paul will occupy to begin the new season. The Warriors head coach will also have some headaches when covering for the team’s lack of height at the center position.
Fortunately, training camp is the perfect opportunity to resolve those issues and questions as Warriors fans start to get excited about the season ahead.
