When the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Houston Texans on Sunday they will do so minus two starters from last week’s game. The team put out its game-status report and they have listed punter Pressley Harvin III and guard James Daniels as OUT.
In place of Harvin, former Steeler Brad Wing was signed and will punt in an NFL game for the first time since 2017.
Replacing Daniels will be Nate Herbig. This will mean the Steelers streak of 20 straight games with the same starting five offensive linemen will be broken.
Pittsburgh signed Herbig in the offseason to add depth along all three interior spots on the offensive line. Pittsburgh released Kevin Dotson and Kendrick Green and brought in Herbig and rookie Spencer Anderson as upgrades along the interior.
Herbig’s addition was the first of two Herbigs added to the roster. Pittsburgh also drafted his brother Nick in the 2023 NFL draft and he’s currently a backup edge rusher.
