The Tennessee Titans will be without 2022 first-round pick and wide receiver Treylon Burks in Week 4 against the Cincinnati Bengals, and there’s a chance his absence extends beyond that.
According to Terry McCormick of Titan Insider, head coach Mike Vrabel said Burks would sit out Sunday and that the second-year receiver would miss “maybe a week or so.”
When asked if Burks had re-aggravated the scary knee injury he suffered during training camp, Vrabel said that was not the case.
“(It’s) not a re-aggravation,” Vrabel said. “He’s just not going to be able to be out there for maybe a week or so. We’ll see how he progresses. He wasn’t able to do anything this week. We’ll see where he’s at next week.”
The Arkansas product popped up on the injury report on Wednesday and was spotted with a knee wrap at practice. After a limited session, Burks sat out Thursday’s practice, which was the first sign of trouble.
With this latest missed game, Burks has now sat out seven of a possible 21 contests over his first two seasons in the NFL.
In Burks’ absence, Chris Moore should be a big uptick in snaps after seeing 57 snaps over the first three games.
