The Badgers men’s basketball season is on the horizon and head coach Greg Gard explained how he convinced returning fifth-year forward Tyler Wahl to stay in Madison.
Wahl was uncertain if he’d come back for his final year of eligibility and he even celebrated a senior day at the Kohl Center this past February, but he ultimately stayed in Madison.
Gard outlined the fact that Wahl has a chance to be the first player in program history to win three Big Ten regular season championships amongst other reasons to stay, and it ended up working.
The forward and the rest of the team’s starting lineup from last season will be back and they’ll be one of the more experienced units in the Big Ten conference.
More on #Badgers 🏀Greg Gard talks about his conversations with Tyler Wahl on whether or not to return for his fifth season.
