Sources: Former #Commanders CB William Jackson III worked out for the #Buccaneers this morning.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are looking to shore up their cornerback depth.
Jordan Schultz of the Score reported on Wednesday that the Bucs are working out cornerback William Jackson III, who last played for the Washington Commanders in 2022.
Jackson is 30 years old, so he would bring some veteran experience to a relatively young corner room. So far in his career, he’s netted 205 tackles, five interceptions and 51 pass deflections. He was traded from the Commanders to the Steelers in 2022 after requesting a trade in Week 5, but he was released by Pittsburgh without playing a down for the team.
The workout likely comes in lieu of CB Jamel Dean’s shoulder injury he suffered on Monday Night Football against the Eagles. With CB Carlton Davis dealing with a slow-healing toe injury, depth is thin at the position and the Bucs may look to make a move to alleviate that.
